Corrections, questions and tips all go to one address, and I read them.
Written and answered by Sun-Ik Ham. I usually reply within a few business days. If a reply matters and a week has passed, send it again — mail does get lost.
What's useful to include
- A correction. Link the article and say what's wrong. If you can point at the document that contradicts it, that's ideal — corrections get made in place and noted.
- A question about a program. I can tell you how I read a document. I can't tell you how an agency will decide your application, and I won't guess.
- A tip. An agency decision, a funding round, a bill, a board item that deserves attention. Say whether you want to be credited.
- Professional inquiries. For H Plus Design or Kalanianaʻole Development work, this address reaches me, and I'll move it to the right place.
What I can't help with
I can't place anyone in housing, move anyone up a waitlist, or check the status of an application. Those sit with the agencies: Hawaii Public Housing Authority for public housing and statewide Section 8, and HHFDC for state housing finance programs.
I also don't give legal or tax advice. See the editorial policy.
